The complex now has a beautiful new court. Kids from Whitman named the court Kings-Queens Court -- in part after the original basketball court name.

The Walt Whitman Houses in Fort Greene has few spaces for everyone to get together.
The complex now has a beautiful new court. Kids from Whitman named the court Kings-Queens Court -- in part after the original basketball court name.
The old court was run down and unusable for 20 years.
The younger generation says this court is perfect.
"I'm going to be out here 2, 3 in the morning," said 17-year-old resident Jerry.
Several years ago, the complex received a grant for the court, but the resident association pushed for its construction within the last year.
