Community residents met Saturday to discuss the future of the old Greenpoint Hospital complex, which has been out of use for nearly 30 years.
The workshop-style forum was held to understand the community's priorities and ideas for the potential development of affordable housing.
The city currently owns the property and is exploring all possibilities, including selling to a private developer.
The complex is not completely dormant. Parts of it serves as a homeless shelter for nearly 200 people, which will still be a part of any future plans.
