Some fed up Cypress Hills high school students are taking their future into their own hands in the face of violence and low graduation rates.
Franklin K. Lane High School's Future of Tomorrow student organization held a town hall-style meeting Thursday. Members want to create a student success center that includes employment specialists, mediators and guidance counselors. Students say only 15 percent of their peers graduate on time and a classmate was recently stabbed.
The school's principal supports the students and says it's time for reform.
