Friends and family of Justin Hackley came together on Thursday night to celebrate his life after he was shot and killed in Flatbush seven years ago.

The community chanted "Justice for Justin" on the corner of Church and Ocean avenues, hoping to end gun violence that claimed the life of then-20-year-old Hackley.

Police say he was shot multiple times in front of 533 Ocean Ave. Rasheed Boland was arrested in connection to the murder, and police are still looking for his brother who remains a suspect.

“We need to find Dean Boland," said Marie Hackley. "Dean needs to come out of hiding.”

Candles lit up the street where Hackley was shot, his mother has plans on naming the street after her beloved son.

“That’s going to help me with a little bit of relief knowing that my son’s name, Justin Hackley is on Church Avenue and Ocean," Hackley said.

Many in attendance say they pray for justice in the near future.
