A Brooklyn restaurant is the only kosher smokehouse in New York City.

Izzy's BBQ is located in Crown Heights.

The restaurant's chef and owner, Izzy Adelman, says that with the Internet and food shows, cooking and eating food that is not traditionally Jewish is becoming the norm.

"We're taking the old traditional cooking with fire and wood, which is the most simple form of cooking, and we're bringing it to the Jewish community," Adelman says. "It seems like people have been really enjoying it so far."
