New York's bravest is honoring an FDNY firefighter gone too soon.
Probationary Firefighter Steven Pollard was killed when he fell from a Belt Parkway overpass in Mill Basin responding to a crash.
Fellow firefighters paid their respects throughout the day on Monday as a procession carried his body from the medical examiner's office in Manhattan to a funeral home in Marine Park.
Wake services will be held at the Marine Park Funeral Home on Quentin Road between 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and then on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
His funeral will take place Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd R.C. Church at 1950 Batchelder St. in Brooklyn.
