Friends and family members said a final farewell today to a Brownsville mother who was brutally murdered earlier this summer.
A funeral service was held in Flatlands for Chinelle Browne. The mother of four disappeared back in July. Her body parts were found scattered around Long Island.
Browne had moved to Brooklyn from Guyana to work, and her family was planning to join her soon.
Leah Cuevas is accused of killing Browne. Authorities say Cuevas allegedly stabbed her more than 30 times.
Prosecutors say the two neighbors had gotten into an argument over rent and utilities before Browne disappeared.
Cuevas pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder.
