Giovanni's Brooklyn Eats is back open for business after it went up in flames last year.

The restaurant shut its doors last June after a fire broke out in the kitchen. While nobody was injured, the amount of water used caused extensive damage to the interior.

Owner Giovanni Tafuri says he is grateful that this nightmare is now over.

“Just the concerns of everything that happened...I’m still waiting for someone to pinch me that we’ve actually opened up," Tafuri said.

Tafuri also says he is excited to see new and returning customers come back home.
