The auditorium of I.S. 45 in Bushwick was packed Tuesday for a girls empowerment program called "Power to Be."
The school partnered with JU Consultants, a youth development and education group, to give young girls successful professionals to look up to, including Patricia Robinson.
"Before I became a boss, I was a little black girl that grew up in the projects and I couldn't see my way out of anything," says Robinson, who is now the director of operations for radio station Hot 97.
The girls also learned about financial empowerment, and were given other inspirational and motivational advice.
