If you're driving near New York Botanical Garden, you may notice some dazzling lights. That's because their glow show is back in full force for its second year.
The show, which is 1 1/2-mile loop, is full of jaw-dropping displays. One after the other. Once you think you've seen it all, the next one is even cooler.
The light spectacle incorporates sound and movement to immerse people in the display. News 12 learned each one uses thousands of LED lights, with tons of visitors stopping to take pictures as they passed through.
This light show lasts from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will take place on select nights through Jan. 22. The New York Botanical Garden is also partnering with the Bronx Night Market, meaning anyone who comes to glow gets to experience great food from all around the Bronx.
Organizers say the event takes one year to put together and pull off. But seeing the displays makes it worth it.
"We have projections along the library building that sound elements and the conservatory as well,” said Kenia Pittman, Exhibition Project Manager at the Botanical Garden. “You're allowed to just explore and enjoy at night something that you wouldn't normally get to do which i think is fantastic and it also just accentuates our garden and trees."
While the event is offered on select nights, all you need to do is purchase tickets for a certain time. You do not need proof of vaccination to check out GLOW, but you do need it to enter any buildings or dining spots at the garden.
Tickets are $35 for adults and $20 for children and can be purchased
