A frequent golfer at the Bellport Country Club took home the silver medal at the Special Olympics USA Games in Florida.
Brett Geiger, 27, who had a brain injury at birth and has a learning disability, finished second in the four-day golf event featuring 60 golfers.
"I've never accomplished something like this before," Geiger says.
Geiger says his father taught him how to play golf and now he's been doing it for 17 years.
He says every tee time is different and it's a great way to challenge yourself.
Geiger hopes to be back for the 2026 USA Games but says this time he's going for the gold.
