New York’s COVID-19 positivity rate is at 1.72%, the lowest rate since Omicron was named a variant of concern in October, according to Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office.

Just over 3,000 New Yorkers tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
The number of new cases in Rockland County is at 41, 70 in Orange County and 140 in Westchester County.
Statewide, 325 patients were admitted to the hospital Friday. There were 39 new deaths, three of which were from the Hudson Valley.
