Gov. Kathy Hochul and state legislators have agreed to a stopgap spending measure while they continue negotiations on the state budget.
The temporary measure keeps the government running through Thursday as negotiations drag on.
The governor and state lawmakers have still not reached an agreement on New York's new budget.
The biggest issue stopping an agreement from being made is Hochul's proposal to scale back some of the bail reform changes that the Democratic-led Legislature recently passed.
Democrats in the state Senate are against those changes.
