Gov. Kathy Hochul discussed potential help for homeowners who live in flood-prone communities.
The governor announced a plan to expand a voluntary buyout program for homeowners who want to move away from areas that are increasingly vulnerable to flooding.
The buyout initiative called Blue Buffers is part of the governor's resiliency plan to protect New Yorkers from the impacts of climate change.
