Gov. Phil Murphy says construction will officially start on the new Portal North Bridge on Monday.

U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg will also be there to start the process of replacing the 111-year-old bridge.

The governor said on Twitter that it’s “a project that will carry our commuters and economy forward.”
