An MTA construction project in Gowanus has residents concerned for their safety after falling debris knocked a man unconscious last month.
First responders say the man, believed to be a construction worker, was hit in the head and knocked unconscious. The man was seriously injured and News 12 Brooklyn sources say he's still in the hospital. People who walk by the area daily say they see rocks falling on cars and nothing has been done by the MTA to prevent any future accidents.
The MTA says they're aware of the complaints, which are being addressed by the construction manager. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration says there's no inspection or violation history at the work site.
