A Brooklyn cartoonist has turned her 300-square-foot basement apartment in Greenpoint into an archive of random items that she calls historic artifacts.
Julia Wertz, 33, draws cartoons for Harper's and New Yorker magazines.
She also collects items from abandoned buildings all over the country.
She's collected so much junk she says she has to take a break because she's running out of room.
The goal, she says, is to open a treasure shop one day.
