2ds agoPolice say the four people accused of assaulting a man at a Lake Ronkonkoma Park are now under arrest and facing gang charges.
The 20-year-old victim was apparently hit with a metal bat and shot with a pellet gun around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say the incident is not drug- or gang-related, and that the charges stem from the number of people involved in the alleged assault.
The victim is being treated for what are described as serious injuries.
