A group of disabled children from across the city were treated to a day of fun at Deno's Wonder Wheel Amusement Park in Coney Island.
The nonprofit Community Mayors Organization organized the day. About 1,000 kids attended along with teachers and 60 volunteers. The kids enjoyed free rides and free food.
Volunteers say it is all about showing the kids a good time in a judgement free environment.
In the fall, the nonprofit is planning an outing to the Bronx Zoo for the kids.
