New York City officials are dispersing outreach teams to help with homelessness.
Officials say the operation started this past week, with plans to double to more than 300 personnel by March.
The teams will cover an 8-mile stretch of Manhattan, and their goal is to talk to homeless individuals as frequently as possible.
Experts say constant contact with the homeless will persuade them to go to a shelter.
