A New York public interest research group has released its annual list of the best and worst events for 2014 for the city's subways and buses.
The Straphanger's Campaign revealed that one event that made it to the best list happened on Sept. 23. That day saw the highest recorded ridership in 30 years. Another was the reopening of the 'R' tunnel, which had been closed since Superstorm Sandy. The city also saw improved bus service.
As for the worst list, the removal of garbage cans from subway stations was one issue. Transit finances as well as sexual harassment complaints also made it to the worst list.
