A group of alumni wants the city to restore an 18th-century schoolhouse that sits within the Erasmus Hall High School campus.
The landmarked Flatbush building has sat vacant and boarded up for years.
Originally built in 1787 -- in part due to a donation by Alexander Hamilton -- the building has gone unused since 2000.
The alumni started a petition online to pressure Mayor Bill de Blasio into transferring responsibility for the building's care from the Department of Education to another city agency so it can be restored.
The city's Landmarks Preservation Commission says it's already in discussions with the DOE regarding the building.
