Residents gathered in Crown Heights Friday to rally against gun violence.
The rally was held at Dean Street and Troy Avenue, the site where a 20-year-old man was shot two days ago.
Activists from groups such as Save Our Streets and Man Up rallied at the site of the shooting, saying that particular shooting and every other shooting is unacceptable.
The groups called upon the community to join together to denounce gun violence. The groups say changes will not be made if people continue to stand on the sidelines.
Save Our Streets is making an effort to respond to every shooting in the Crown Heights, Bed-Stuy area, saying the community cannot accept this type of gun violence as commonplace.
