'Hair'itage,' a theatrical performance about black women's hair and the unique personalities that come with them, will premiere at a Crown Heights theater.
Playwright and director Niccole Nero Gaines says the play uniquely tells the evolution of the black woman's hair.
Six sisters with different styles and grades of hair share how their hair has defined them, their love lives, self-image and careers.
The show will begin on May 14 at the Black Lady Theater on Nostrand Avenue and run every Friday until Sept. 1.
