NEW: Humid and hot weather lingers into tomorrow, with lower air quality and temperatures that feel like 95-98 degrees.
NEXT:  Heat lingers all week, with temperatures in the mid-90s and heavy humidity making the heat index even hotter.
News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Hope Osemwenkhae says a heat wave is expected this week in New York City. There is a heat advisory in effect starting Wednesday at noon through 8 p.m. This is due to feel-like temperatures reaching 95-100 degrees.  
TODAY: Hot, hazy, and humid. Highs near 93. Lows near 73.
TOMORROW: Hot, hazy, and humid. Lower air quality. Feels like 95-98. Highs near 94. Lows near 77.
THURSDAY: Sunny and very hot. Highs near 96. Feels like 100 - 105. Thunderstorms are possible in the evening. Lows near 75.
FRIDAY: Heat continues. Highs near 92. Lows near 75.
SATURDAY: Highs near 94. Hot, hazy, and humid. Lows near 75.
SUNDAY: Mostly sunny. Lower humidity, but still hot!! Highs near 92. Lows near 73.
MONDAY: Showers in the morning. The heat wave breaks. Highs near 88. Lows near 70.
