HEAT ALERT: High heat and humidity into Friday for NYC

An official heat advisory has been issued for New York City and will be in effect from 11 a.m. on Thursday until 8 p.m. on Friday.

NEXT: A weak cold front will pass our area tonight, bringing humidity down a bit. Rogue shower/quick downpour possible 7-9 p.m.  
NEXT: Still hot on Wednesday but not as humid. Lower humidity will make the heat more bearable by Wednesday afternoon. Dangerously hot and humid conditions return on Thursday with pop-up storms possible. A strong frontal system will pass our area on Friday and bring the threat for T-storms as well.

Overnight: Mostly clear, warm and not as muggy. Lows near 72. WSW wind 5-10 mph.
Wednesday: HEAT ALERT Still hot, sunny, and not as humid. Highs near 90. Lows near 75.
Thursday: WEATHER TO WATCH Dangerously hot and steamy. Feels like 100-105 degrees. Pop-up storms possible. Highs near 96. Lows near 78.
Friday: WEATHER TO WATCH Mostly sunny and hot and muggy. T-storms likely in the p.m. Highs near 90. Lows near 75.
Saturday: Mix of sun and clouds, warm and humid. Chance of storms. Highs near 85. Lows near 74.
Sunday: Partly sunny & warm. Highs near 87. Lows near 75. 
Monday: Sun and clouds & warm. Highs near 89. Lows near 74.
