Extreme heat will kick off the new week as temperatures on the surface warm near 100 degrees and feel-like temperatures climb to nearly 105 degrees.

These conditions will continue through Tuesday night with some cooler air on Wednesday. It will still be hot though.

Sunshine, very few clouds and a muggy feel through the first half of the week. Wednesday night, there is an approaching storm system from the north that brings a chance for some rain and thunderstorms along with much cooler temperatures by Thursday and into the weekend.
