NOW: There is an excessive heat warning for NYC through 9 p.m. Friday. Feels-like temperatures exceed 105 degrees for at least two hours Thursday and Friday. The heat is dangerous!

News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Darryl Green says there will be sweltering heat and humidity Thursday into Saturday.

There's also an air quality alert in effect today through 11 p.m. for the high heat, humidity and sunshine that combines with daily pollution to create a stifling environment. This is especially hazardous to sensitive groups of people today.

TOMORROW: Hazy, hot and humid with highs near 96. Feels-like temps 100 to 105. An isolated storm after 6 p.m. Lows near 80.

SATURDAY: Partly cloudy, still hot and humid. Highs up to 94. Feels-like temps between 97 and 101. Scattered thunderstorms are likely after 3 p.m. Lows down to 71.

SUNDAY: Partly cloudy with much lower humidity. Highs near 83. Lows around 69.

MONDAY - TUESDAY: Warm and comfortable. Plentiful sunshine with highs in the low-80s and lows in the upper-60s.

WEDNESDAY: A chance of showers. Highs near 82. Lows near 70.
