A flood watch is in effect for all parts of Brooklyn until 6 a.m. Friday morning, as up to four inches of rain are expected to fall.
As of Thursday evening, about half an inch of rain had already fallen in Brooklyn, resulting in slick and slippery roads. In addition to fog and downpours, a coastal flood warning will be in effect after midnight. Experts warn that the heavy rainfall combined with high tides could result in flooding near the coasts.
Despite the dreary, stormy weather that will last until Friday morning, sunshine is expected by Friday afternoon.
