If you are looking for something to watch this week, as you well know, there’s so much streaming. Here’s what’s new, has some big buzz, and what we’ll be watching at our house!
ONWARD
We saw the trailer when we went to see Frozen II at the movie theater (yes, as I’m sure you know that is now streaming too… we’ve already watched it about 100 times) and since then, my son has been talking about Onward.
After just two weeks in theaters, it can be digitally downloaded (it will be available on Disney+ on April 3). In case you have little ones too and want something else to look forward to, there’s a lot of excitement in my house for Trolls World Tour which starts streaming on April 10.

LOST GIRLS
I watched it before interviewing the cast and crew at the NYC premiere and haven’t stopped talking about it since, so I want my husband to watch! Lost Girls is based on Robert Kolker’s book about the still unsolved Gilgo Beach murders. The book has far greater detail as this narrative feature focuses on Mari Gilbert, the mother of Shannan Gilbert, and left me wanting to see and know more.  Far from an uplifting watch, but such an important conversation to keep going in hopes of finally getting some answers for the victims’ families. It’s on Netflix now.

THE LETTER FOR THE KING
It’s being dubbed Game of Thrones for the teen set, which could be perfect for me too, because I like the storylines, but not the gore! It’s a six-episode period drama based on the novel by Tonke Dragt, that Netflix says the whole family (if you have older kids) can watch together.
On Netflix now.

THE ENGLISH GAME
Downton Abbey fans, creator Julian Fellowes is back with a brand new drama streaming on Netflix. The English Game is about the early days of soccer. The mini-series, based on a true story, tackles a real-life class war. If you like a 19th century period piece complete with Scottish accents and old time soccer uniforms, this could be your cup of tea.

LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE
Hulu rolled out the first three episodes last week. The mini-series is set in the 90s and is based on Celeste Ng’s best-selling novel of the same name. Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington (Joshua Jackson is a bonus!) sharing the screen is enough for me to want to watch!

OR...
If you are like me, and your brain needs a break right now... I certainly need a laugh... and I think we all need a little escape from the current reality… you can watch reality show Love is Blind on Netflix (a little Nick Lachey always lifts my spirits), some Friends re-runs or one of the many comedy specials streaming.
