A group of teenagers have created a safe space for their peers to express their opinions on serious topics affecting the country.

A trio of high school juniors created the RRG Youth Program, which stands for Reality, Race Inequalities and Gender Discriminations.

They say it's "a group for teens by teens."

The organizers of the group say they don't feel that adults know their perspective and teenagers can understand each other and know where each other are coming from.

They say the discussions are open to topics from racial discrimination and other topics they don't feel comfortable talking to their families or other adults about.

"We wanted everyone to feel free to talk about anything they want to talk about," one creator of the group says.

The group speaks every Saturday over Zoom.
