We're three weeks into the high school football season, and Erasmus Hall and Curtis are starting to separate themselves from the pack.
Erasmus Hall improved to 3-0 on Sunday with a 44-12 win over Canarsie, a team that was ranked fourth in last week's 12's Top Twelve Poll.
On the Catholic school side, it's likely that no team in New York City has had a tougher early season schedule than Cardinal Hayes with games against powerhouse programs from New Jersey and Washington, D.C. as well as games against Long Island powers Chaminade and Saint Anthony's. The Hayesmen lost to Saint Anthony's 48-28 on Friday night.
As we get set for week four, Erasmus Hall remains on top of our 12's Top Twelve Poll, just ahead of undefeated Curtis. Hayes remains at No. 3. In fact, the top six teams remain the same as last week.
There's movement in the bottom half of our poll - keep an eye on a couple of undefeated private schools. Poly Prep checks in at No. 8, and Fieldston tied for 12th.
Week four is just three days away.
