Two undefeated football teams made loud statements last week as the PSAL playoffs approach.
Erasmus Hall, which was on a quest to win a third consecutive city championship, is now 8-0 after Vincent Cajano and the Erasmus defense led the Dutchmen to a 28-0 victory over Lincoln.
Madison is eyeing a bowl conference championship. The Knights are now 7-0 after beating a tough Bayside team 36-0.
Erasmus is still number 1 in News 12's Top Twelve poll, but there's a lot of movement toward the top.
Monsignor Farrell and Cardinal Hayes move up to numbers 2 and 3 ahead of Curtis, Tottenville and Canarsie.
The aforementioned Madison moves up to number 9, just behind Poly Prep, which should probably be ranked higher than 8.
The Catholic League playoffs begin Friday and PSAL postseason starts next weekend.
