The deposition of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton regarding the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein was paused Thursday after a photo of her inside the private proceeding was posted online.

Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert sent the photo to a conservative influencer, who then posted it on social media.

Releasing a photo from the private deposition violates the House Oversight Committee's rules.

News 12 was there when Boebert left the deposition and returned. She was asked why she sent the photo.

"Why not?" she answered. She was then asked a second time.

"I just returned to my hotel room and installed the BleachBit software and took a hammer to my iPad, so I guess, in regards to your photos, I do not recall," Boebert replied.
