Hispanic tenants at a Williamsburg apartment building are taking their landlord to court, claiming he is failing to make repairs in an effort to make them move.
The tenants say that the issues include cracked windows, leaking pipes and mold.
"This is a 24-unit building," says Barbra Schliff, of Southside United Housing. "There are only eight Latino families left. The balance is Hasidic families and over the years, the landlord has gotten rid of most of the Latino tenants and the remaining tenants can't seem to get any repairs or services."
The next court date is scheduled for Feb. 14.
