Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul toured the Coney Island boardwalk to promote tourism in the area.
Hochul, along with Brooklyn Councilman Mark Treger, visited all of the iconic sites along the tour. Hochul and others hope to turn Coney Island into a year-round destination.
Legislators hope this is just the first step in securing more funding for the popular tourism site to bring more restaurants and shops.
