Surveillance
video from this weekend shows an attempted break-in at a Holbrook restaurant
that was burglarized just a few months ago.
The video from
Hummus Mediterranean shows the attempted
break-in Sunday at around 6:35 a.m.
The owner of
the restaurant posted multiple videos from the surveillance camera on
Instagram, showing the person who tried to break through one of the glass front
doors.
News 12 is
told an employee was working in the store at the time and heard the glass
breaking. The employee made a loud whistle and the suspect then apparently
walked off like nothing happened.
Hummus
Mediterranean was one of several businesses hit in a string of burglaries that took place in October.
Suffolk police
tell News 12 they are investigating whether Sunday's incident is related to
what happened in October.
The owner of
the restaurant is asking anyone in the neighborhood with home surveillance
cameras to look at their footage from Sunday and share it with police to see if
they see anything out of the ordinary.
