A group of 22 veterans is no longer homeless now that they have moved into permanent housing in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens made sure a handful of apartments within the newly named Bishop Joseph M. Sullivan Residence were set aside specifically for veterans.
The $21.7 million renovation was mostly funded by the state.
The new tenants say they are grateful for the simple comforts. Each resident has their own bathroom and kitchenette.
