The unofficial end of summer may be in the past, but the hot temperatures remained on Tuesday.
At Brooklyn Bridge Park, people ate ice cream, hung out by the water and took a stroll through the park.
Kids enjoyed their last day of vacation before the start of the new school year.
Some people said they hope the hot weather lasts well into the month.
