Hundreds gather at St. Joseph’s College to pray and remember Martin Luther King Jr.’s mission

Hundreds came together at St. Joseph’s College in Clinton Hill on Monday to celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.
It has been more than 50 years since the death of Dr. King, but his dream was remembered Monday as elected officials and residents unified in prayer.
Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell was this year's keynote speaker at the college’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day event. She says she intends to keep Dr. King’s dream alive as she continues leading the police department to fight crime in New York City.
Many people at the event expressed how the fight for change still a long way has to go in battling poverty, racism, and violence.
