Police are searching for two men who are suspected of robbing six pharmacies, including one in Marine Park that they held up twice.
Gallina Milter, a pharmacist at the Marine Park drug store Just-In-Time, says robbers walked in and put a gun to the cashier's head on April 7. However, Milter says the men were not interested in cash, instead heading straight to the back of the store where such controlled substances as Vicodin and Oxycoton can be found.
After the first robbery, the pharmacy installed a buzzer and bullet-proof glass. However, the measures didn't stop the duo from forcing their way into the store again on May 30.
"One guy was taking care of the customers, holding them, while the other one went in the back," Milter recalls.
Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1800-577-TIPS.
