Police are searching for the driver who hit a 4-year-old boy and his teenage brother and drove off Friday afternoon in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
Authorities say the incident happened at around 3 p.m. on Marcy Avenue at Quincy Street, when a black sedan with South Carolina plates slammed into a tree and jumped the curb, hitting Dillan Jackson and his 16-year-old brother, Dwayne Jackson.
Witnesses of the crash say the impact of the collision sent the 4-year-old several feet into the air.
The two boys remain at Woodhull Hospital in stable condition. Dillan Jackson is being treated for a broken leg and pelvis, and his brother is being treated for a dislocated shoulder.
Anyone with information about the driver is asked to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
