Police are searching for a suspect wanted in a string of bank robberies in Brooklyn that date back to March.
Authorities say the robber targeted seven Brooklyn bank branches, including Ponce de Leon bank on Smith Street, Washington Mutual on Flatbush Avenue and Capital One on 4th Avenue in Bay Ridge. Police believe the man is responsible for a total of 16 bank robberies citywide.
During each robbery, the suspect passed a note to the teller, demanding cash. So far, it has not been established how much money the robber made away with.
Based on several surveillance videos, the suspect is described as a man in his 30s, between 5 feet 11 inches and 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 180-210 pounds.
