A woman is suing Dunkin' after a morning coffee run and spill last year in Delran left her with severe burns.
Samantha Picklo spent three days recovering in the Jefferson burn center.
Her attorney claims the lawsuit is the first of its kind in the nation because its focusing on the coffee cup tray, and not just on the coffee's temperature.
The lawsuit is seeking an unspecified amount of money for what Picklo went through. She says the mishap led to months of challenges for her.
"I never felt such a pain in my life," says Picklo.
The case is one of several involving Dunkin’ and coffee related injuries in the New Jersey.
In the 1990s, a woman sued McDonald's and won nearly $3 million after she was severely burned by hot coffee.
