A popular ice cream man is being remembered in Bensonhurst. 

Angel "Chubby" Campanella was known for his good deeds in the community, and to help keep his memory alive, the corner of 21st Avenue and 77th Street was renamed in his honor Sunday. 

The day also marked the 70th anniversary of his business, Ice Cream Girl Maria, which is named after his daughter and current owner. Maria Campanella said the lessons she learned from her father go much further than ice cream. 

The street renaming event also raised money for St. Jude's cancer research.
