STORM WATCH

State of emergency declared with storm expected to bring up to 4-6 inches of snow to Brooklyn

The iconic Del Rio Diner in Bensonhurst closed its doors Monday after nearly 40 years in business.
The diner is a throwback to an earlier time with classic booths and tables. It even has jukeboxes that play music.
The current owner says he shut down due to outstanding operating costs and was unwilling to raise menu prices on his customers.
Owners of the diner closed the doors at 7 a.m. Monday, locking them for one final time.
However, the owner of the Del Rio says he owns another diner called the Vegas, located on 86th Street and 16th Avenue.
He says he has no plans to close the Vegas.
