For the first time in 15 years, the Department of Sanitation is launching an anti-litter campaign.
The campaign is a part of the ‘We Love NYC’ campaign to call on residents to do their part and keep city streets clean.
DSNY's marketing campaign is to shame "garbage" New Yorkers, litterers, and dog poop-etrators once and for all.
The ads will run on bus shelters and link New York City kiosks across the five boroughs for the remainder of April.
DSNY also says Mayor Eric Adams’ ‘Get Stuff Clean’ initiative is cleaning over 15,000 ignored areas across the city.
Officials ask residents who still see litter and dog waste in the neighborhood to call 311 or report it on the city’s website.
