Activision Blizzard employees are staging a walkout on Wednesday to protest toxic workplace allegations against the company. Activision is extending paid time off to all employees planning to attend the walkout. This comes as the company faces a lawsuit from the state of California over its alleged sexist work culture.
Robinhood is making its trading debut on the Nasdaq Thursday. The day trading app is using its own customers to invest and plans to sell up to 35% of its IPO shares to users. Robinhood is currently set to price shares between $38 and $42 with a potential valuation of about $35 billion when it starts trading under the ticker symbol "Hood." Another twist with the company just before its public debut, it announced on Tuesday CEO Vlad Tenev is not licensed by wall street regulator, Finra.
Instagram is adding more protection for teenagers. It will now make accounts private for anyone under 18 and advertisers will no longer be able to target teens based on Facebook's interest categories. Adults who trigger automated warning flags will also be restricted from seeing or interacting with accounts run by minors.
