A grand opening ceremony was held in Bedford-Stuyvesant Thursday for a new integrated housing development.
The Herkimer Street Residence, a 53-unit housing development, will be home to formerly homeless individuals with mental illness, low-income families and young adults who have aged out of foster care.
State agencies, nonprofit groups and community members helped dedicate the $20 million building.
The development is located at 437 Herkimer St.
