The International African Arts Festival is returning in-person this summer for three days after it was moved virtually last year due to the pandemic.
Organizers say the unofficial family reunion is returning with the help of community support on July 2, 3 and 4 in Commodore Barry Park.
The 50-year-old festival features food, crafts and performances.
The International African Arts Festival launched a GoFundMe back in April, aiming to raise $50,000 for its 50th year of celebrations.
The organization says it lost 70% of its budget during the pandemic, and is completely relying on fundraising to make this year's event happen.
As of right now, the festival has raised nearly $23,000 and the campaign is still ongoing.
